Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is the most widely studied and accepted program of its kind. It teaches participants how to harness their own innate abilities to diminish stress and pain, and to improve overall physical and mental wellness. MBSR was developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD in 1979, and is used in hundreds of schools, hospitals, and other institutional facilities worldwide. Kabat-Zinn's eight-week MBSR curriculum has been completed by tens of thousands of people since its creation.

Esther  is the only certified MBSR instructor in Lane County, Oregon and one of only a small handful of certified instructors in the entire state. An award-winning teacher, she has "graduated" hundreds of MBSR alums.
